As a young practitioner of sound arts, I am still exploring techniques and methods to convey the benefits of expression in sound for one’s mental health, specifically through music concrete. In using techniques such as field recording practices, sample editing and new algorithm based technologies, I have shown how surrealism and hyper-realism can be portrayed creatively in sound via a non-musical format.
I seek to continue exploring these themes for my own artistic expression. In doing so, I hope to provide an insight into my own mental health issues to provide a voice for those who can empathise in my personal struggles.
Sound installations, audio releases and cross platform media works (e.g. films, interactive media, animation) are some of the ways I hope to publish my art. A constant across the works would be to leave a signature without being in the pieces to further encapsulate the audience within a perspective of the world they roam in through a new light.
